History : Christopher Orphanage for Girls was initiated in the year 2003 on the invitation of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The orphan and semi orphan children are hailing from poor families from the district of Sivagangai are given due care with the supplementary education facilities. Most children are coming from the coastal villages and remote rural villages of sivagangai district which is deprived of industrial development and modern development in the state of Tamil Nadu. These children study in Don Bosco High School at Pallithammam and stay at Christopher Orphanage.
