History : Kodungaiyur is located near Madavaram and there are children who are turned to rag pickers and live mostly in slums. The Saranalya Girls Home caters to the young girls in the streets under the Don BoscoAnbuIllam. The run-away girls and street girls are brought to the home and offered with basic education and counseling. And if they are willing are being sent back to their own families. Others are given vocational skill training and facilitated for economic self-sustainability.
