Year of Inception	:	1993
History	:	St. Don Bosco Convent was started in Anupampattu in the year 1995 to serve for the most underprivileged section of the area. The main aim of the mission is to cater the needs of the women and children especially destitute. SMA Sisters are working in ANNUPAMPATTU since 1995 and initially supported the pastoral work to its best of ability. When SMA started its work, the village had a few Catholic families and at present the village has 50 catholic families. This village is one of the sub-stations coming under the Catholic Parish of Ponneri in Madras-Mylapore Archdiocese.Later the works of the sisters were diversified to address the socio-economic problems irrespective of religion. SMA provides support education for poor children after school hours. It has more than 3 centres covering on an average 120 students in each centre. It has Health care centre in the village and through health care it caters to the needs of the poor local village people. Besides, it actively participates in evangelization, house visit and pastoral work. Thereby it has made its presence felt by its mission work.
