We have distributed Rice, Cooking Oil and Blanket on 13th of January 2024. During the first week of January 2024, our team went to the area, assessed the affected families and distributed tokens for the relief measures. Majority of the slum dwellers lost their small thatched houses.

People were accommodated in nearby communities as well as marriage halls. Government distributed bread, water, medicine etc., for around 5 days.

Through this relief intervention, around 400 drastically flood affected families were benefited. We have distributed the relief measures according to the size of the families. The distribution varied accordingly.

IMPACTS OF THE ENVISAGED:

• It restored the affected people to the normal status
• It enable the people to feed their children as well as aged people in a possible way
• It enable them to take care of the aged sickly people
• The distribution of blankets protected the children and aged people
• It created hope among the affected people continue their daily activities
