History	:	SMA Generalate was established in the year 1977 at SagayaannaiIllam at Vyasarpadi. Since SagayaannaiIllam at Vyasarpadi, is situated amidst the slums and its function as social service unit has motivated the need for separate house for Generalate. Hence, the Generalate was established at Madhavaram the then suburban area located in the outskirts of City of Chennai. The peaceful and the labour intensive location found for Formation of the Nuns, Administrative office and a vocational Training Centre.
